Concord Youth Theatre (CYT) is a place where young people can be themselves or can be any character they dare to imagine. At CYT young people can explore the characters of a beloved fairy tale or inhabit a person depicted in great literature. Each year over 500 children from the ages of 3 to 18 join CYT from 31 surrounding towns. CYT employs experienced staff who are incredibly skilled in their area of work. Tuition and ticket sales alone do not cover the costs for each production, so CYT fundraises and applies for grants. Just one production can cost as much as $20,000. Concord Youth Theater has many volunteer opportunities. They have a fundraising board of 12 members, office volunteers, and there are always opportunities to contribute by ushering, costuming, and doing make-up for each show. CYT’s mission statement is to provide high quality educational and performance opportunities for youth. It is a wonderful organization devoted to educating and helping children grow. Like any non-profit they need outside funding to keep going and growing. In order for the kids to keep doing what they love, they would deeply appreciate your help.
