Maggi Alexander, Director of Partnerships & Concord Coordinator


Over the last twenty-years, Maggi Alexander has worked in communities around the world to help ensure that all children have access to caring and committed adults, health, and safe places to live, learn, work and play. Maggi has deep respect for young people and values listening to their ideas, and partnering with them to improve conditions and opportunities in their communities and the world. Her experience has ranged from direct service as a street educator to the program and policy level, working as an advocate, grantmaker, and program specialist.

Prior to joining YouthGive, Maggi founded New Generations, an independent consulting firm that worked with foundations, nonprofits, and government agencies on issues affecting children and youth. She worked as a Program Officer for the Fetzer Institute, managing a portfolio of grants for the social, emotional, and spiritual development of young people and facilitated a foundation-wide planning process. Maggi served as Manager for New Country Partnerships at International Youth Foundation (IYF) to establish or partner with independent, national, grant-making foundations in southern Africa, Latin America, Middle East, Asia-Pacific Rim, and East Central Europe. She also worked at the United Nations Children's Fund International Child Development Center (UNICEF-ICDC) in Florence, Italy. Maggi is the mother of two children and lives in Massachusetts, United States.
