1. General.
YouthGive LLC ("YouthGive") respects the privacy of every individual who accesses YouthGive.org (“YouthGive.org”). This Privacy Policy outlines the information that YouthGive may collect through or in connection with YouthGive.org and how YouthGive may use that information. To make this notice easy to find, YouthGive.org provides a link on the YouthGive.org homepage and at any point where personally identifiable information may be requested.
2. Visitors and Giving Account Holders.
All content in YouthGive.org is accessible to the general public, except for the sections (“Giving Account Holders’ Sections”) that are reserved for individuals that register as Giving Account Holders of YouthGive.org (“Giving Account Holders”). All individuals who visit YouthGive.org but are not registered as Giving Account Holders shall be hereinafter referred to as “Visitors.” Individuals who register as Giving Account Holders shall be hereinafter referred to as “Giving Account Holders.”
3. Personally-Identifiable Contact Information from Visitors.
YouthGive will not collect any personally-identifiable contact information, including but not limited to, the name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address (“Personally-Identifiable Contact Information”) of a Visitor unless he or she voluntarily discloses such Personally-Identifiable Contact Information to YouthGive. Visitors who have disclosed Personally-Identifiable Contact Information to YouthGive but subsequently desire that YouthGive remove it from its records, or would like to have such information corrected or updated, should contact YouthGive at privacy@youthgive.org, in which case YouthGive will use reasonable efforts to delete such Personally-Identifiable Contact Information from its existing files or to revise it, as requested. YouthGive uses return email addresses to answer email that it receives. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties. YouthGive does not use or share any Personally-Identifiable Contact Information disclosed by Visitors except to reply to email and/or under the circumstances described in Compliance with Legal Process below.
4. Personally-Identifiable Contact Information from Giving Account Holders.
In order to become a Giving Account Holder, an individual must (1) complete an online registration form, which requires the submission of certain Personally-Identifiable Contact Information, including but not limited to, demographic information (e.g., real name, nickname, credit card information for verification purposes only, email address), that YouthGive uses to contact the Giving Account Holder, and (2) agree to the terms of the Giving Account Holder Agreement. Membership is free of charge. All of the registration information a Giving Account Holder provides will be stored by YouthGive, and some or all of that information will be stored by YouthGive in an individualized Giving Account Holder profile or in a secure database. To learn about the benefits and conditions of Giving Account Holdership, the information stored in the Giving Account Holder profile, and YouthGive’s use and protection of Giving Account Holders’ personal information, please read the <Giving Account Holder Agreement>. Any information that a Giving Account Holder chooses to enter in his or her Giving Account Holder profile will not be visible to other users of the Giving Account Holder sites and services. YouthGive collects and uses each Giving Account Holder’s information to enhance the Giving Account Holder’s experience on YouthGive.org and the Giving Account Holders’ Sections, and in order to operate and deliver the customized services that the Giving Account Holder wishes to use in the Giving Account Holders’ Sections. YouthGive also employs cookies (i.e., small pieces of information that are stored by a user’s computer browser on the hard drive) to determine the extent to which an individual has access privileges on YouthGive.org, to track site usage, and to enhance its Giving Account Holders’ online experience by speeding up navigation, recalling information such as login name, and enabling custom tailored content. Giving Account Holders who do not accept cookies from the domain “YouthGive.org” may not be able to access certain parts of the Giving Account Holder sections of YouthGive.org.
5. Compliance with Legal Process.
Please note that YouthGive may disclose Personally-Identifiable Contact Information if it is required to do so by law or it in good faith believes that such action is necessary to (1) comply with the law or with the legal process; (2) protect and defend YouthGive’s rights and property; (3) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of YouthGive.org; or (4) protect the personal safety or property of the users of YouthGive.org or the public (including, but not limited to, circumstances in which an individual provides false information or attempts to pose as someone else, and such information may be disclosed a part of an investigation into the individual’s actions). If YouthGive is compelled by law, court order, or other judicial or legal process to disclose any of a Visitor’s or Giving Account Holder’s personal information to a court or third party, YouthGive may undertake reasonable efforts to give that Visitor or Giving Account Holder prior notice using the contact information it has provided. However, such notice is not guaranteed.
6. Children.
Except in connection with the collection of aggregate data for the purposes of building, re-tooling, and efficiently operating its website, YouthGive does not request personally-identifiable information from individual children under the age of 13. YouthGive is committed to helping parents and other responsible guardians to build positive and value-building relationships with their children. Therefore YouthGive encourages parents to go online with their kids. Here are a few tips to help make a child's online experience safer:
• Teach kids never to give personal information, unless supervised by a parent or responsible adult. This includes name, address, phone, school, etc.
• Know the sites your kids are visiting and which sites are appropriate.
• Look for Web site privacy policies.
• Know how your child's information is treated.

7. Non-Personally-Identifiable Contact Information Collected Automatically.
In some cases, YouthGive.org may also collect information about a Visitor or a Giving Account Holder that is not personally-identifiable. Examples of such information include the user’s IP address, the type of Internet Browser, the type of computer operating system, the location of the user’s computer on the Internet, the domain name of the website from which the user linked to YouthGive.org, and the pages within YouthGive.org that each user visits. This information is used for various purposes including internal review and traffic audits.
8. Use of Aggregated Information.
YouthGive reserves the right to collect, to use, and to disclose to third parties information about general access to and usage of YouthGive.org and any related services, including information gathered during use of YouthGive.org. Any information disclosed will be in the form of aggregate data (such as overall patterns or demographic reports) that does not describe or identify any individual user. YouthGive may also perform statistical analyses of user behavior in order to measure interest in the various areas of YouthGive.org (for product development) purposes. YouthGive will not release Personally-Identifiable Contact Information to third parties, except under the circumstances described above in compliance with the legal process or with the permission of the individual.
9. Use of Personal Contributions.
YouthGive reserves the right to use the voice, recording, and/or writing (“Personal Contributions”) of any Giving Account Holder who publishes Personal Contributions at YouthGive.org, voluntarily submits Personal Contributions to YouthGive, or consents to YouthGive’s acquiring and/or preserving his or her Personal Contributions, in any way that YouthGive believes is proper, in any place throughout the world, for any purpose, including but not limited to, copying, displaying, sending, or giving Personal Contributions to anyone else in the world, owning the copyright in and to the Personal Contributions (except for an individual’s name), and using the Personal Contributions in any form of media that now exists or may exist in the future, without ever having to compensate a Giving Account Holder or Visitor, so long as YouthGive determines that doing so supports or benefits the purposes of YouthGive. YouthGive’s rights to Personal Contributions encompass any photo, film, or image that YouthGive has taken of a Giving Account Holder or a voluntarily submitting or consenting Visitor, any recording that YouthGive has made of a Giving Account Holder or a voluntarily submitting or consenting Visitor, and any information disclosed to YouthGive in the course of an interview for YouthGive publications, applying for Giving Account Holdership in YouthGive.org or participation in YouthGive programs, or in the course of participating in an YouthGive program.
10. Data Security.
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, YouthGive has put in place physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to protect the information it collects online.
11. No Liability from Links to Other Sites.
Where YouthGive provides links to other websites, it is not responsible for privacy practices of those other sites. Users are hereby advised to read the privacy statements of each and every website that collects personal information. The Privacy Agreement applies solely to information collected by YouthGive at this website.
12. No Liability for Acts of Third Parties..
Although YouthGive will use reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of any personally identifiable information that a Visitor voluntarily discloses or a Giving Account Holder provides, transmissions made by means of the Internet cannot be made absolutely secure. YouthGive will have no liability for disclosure of any such information due to errors in transmission or unauthorized acts of third parties.

14. Updates.
YouthGive reserves the right to change or update this Privacy Policy, or any other policy or practice regarding YouthGive.org, at any time with reasonable notice to users of YouthGive.org, such as by posting on the website. Any changes or updates will be effectively immediately upon posting to YouthGive.org (unless expressly stated otherwise in the relevant policy), change, or update) and/or changing the date of the Policy.
